William Osler Health System

For the past several years, Goreway Power Station (GPS) has been working closely with Brampton’s William Osler Health System to help support the efforts to improve the hospital experience for its young patients.  Critical funding support provided by GPS is enabling the William Osler Health System to acquire a state-of-the-art interactive robot called MEDi capable of lessening the fear and anxiety in young patients and reducing the pain associated with various medical procedures.

REgeneration Outreach Community

For several years, Goreway Power Station staff have supported the work of REgeneration Outreach by coming out as a team to serve breakfast to its clients.  Over the last few years, Station staff have also supported the maintenance of REgeneration’s kitchen facilities by soliciting the support of our Station’s key suppliers.  Sometimes we see the same faces; many times there are hew ones, all seeking a hot meal and warm welcome for many different reasons.

Knights Table

Goreway Power Station staff have worked for with Knight’s Table for many years to further its mission of feeding the hungry across Peel Region.  In addition to food and clothing drives, Station staff adopt a Brampton family every year and work to make their Christmas wishes come true.

The Journey (Ardglen Community) Goreway Power Station staff participated in The Journeys “Refresh” initiative this past summer to support efforts to repaint local residents’ homes, refreshing and brightening their living spaces.

"We would like to thank (Goreway Power Station) again for the sponsorship you provided our team and look forward to representing your company this coming baseball season and during tournaments.

"We are looking forward to another tree planting session at Mimico Creek this year; the boys were very excited for the opportunity to meet the Mayor this past Spring.

"We are currently trying to raise money for our upcoming baseball tournament in Pennsylvania.  The tournament is called The Freeport International and it will be held during the Canada Day /4th of July week. We are looking forward to spending time bonding with each other on the bus and during our stay. Last time we participated we were fortunate to play teams from Japan, Australia, France and USA.

"We are hoping to represent Brampton & Goreway Power Station proudly during this tournament, it is our only away tournament so far this year and we have been working very hard to be a very competitive team.”
